Hello everyone!

I am Oguz Yildirim from Turkey. I am studying computer engineering at Muğlla University and this semester is my last semester in University.

I am passionate about Free Software and in my country i am part of big free software community about education and this was the place where i learnt everything about free software philosophy.

I generally work with java and spring framework and i am passionate about Cloud native applications. I also really like working with JS nowadays HTML5 is so powerful and i had really great experience with JS frameworks(vue,react,electron).

I searched past years Libre Health projects and i am sure that working with Libre Health at GSoC 19 will be amazing and experienceful.

Next, i will try to get more knowledge about project and read documentation. In future i hope i will be a good contributor to project.

Best Regards

@Oguzhan – welcome to LibreHealth!

Based on your skillset, I think you’re suited for the following projects:

or

We require all prospective students to make a non-trivial contribution in order to be accepted.

Project leads are @sunbiz and @judywawira respectively – I ask that you not directly private message them.

You can also join our chat, again no private messages with mentors!

Project ideas are still being developed, so stay tuned!

Our projects are largely Java and PHP.

LibreHealth Toolkit and LibreHealth Radiology are in Java.

LibreHealth EHR is in PHP. Currently using PHP 7.1+.

You’d have to start by learning one of those languages and making non-trivial contributions – we cannot accept you without a non-trivial contribution.

Project ideas are being developed still – so stay tuned.

Thank you for your kind help. I am going to study contribution guidelines and i am going to use chat for questions.

Best Regards

Welcome @cesarionmusk98 nice having you onboard.

Hello community.

I am Mafany Tande Myles, sophomore, studying Computer Engineering from Cameroon. I am ecstatic about open source and would like to contribute with this community (please tell me how to go about it). I am interested in participating in this year’s Google Summer of Code program (please tell me how to go about it also).

I began programming with C and C++, therefore I have appreciable knowledge about those languages. I also took up JavaScript and have some experience with it, and in addition to JS like HTML5 and CSS3.

Please HELP ME.

Thanks @r0bby I have some knowledge in PHP but not as good compared to the others I outlined. I’ve begun relearning.

Please explain what you mean by a non-trivial contribution and how I can go about it.

Thank you

Hello, I am a second-year student from Amrita University, India studying Computer Science. I just have a basic knowledge in Java, CPP and is also comfortable in doing the front end. I would like to contribute to Librehealth so can you please guide me on how to proceed.

Where can I find the project listing?

It is mentioned in the original post.

@devikasugathan,

You are going to need to polish those skills in order to be accepted. It is doubtful that mentors will have the time to teach you Java.
