It’s not a huge issue; be prepared to go over multiple drafts, though
Thank you @r0bby! I completely understand — I’m ready to iterate and improve through as many drafts as needed. Looking forward to your/mentor feedback on the Google Doc!
Hi @r0bby @parumenon1 @namratanehete , I’ve verified the timeline dates match the official GSoC 2026 schedule. I wanted to ask — does the scope of work per phase look realistic? Specifically, is Week 5-6 for the component palette enough time, or should I allocate more weeks for it?
Hello @namratanehete and @parumenon1 ..
I’m Rohith S , an Integrated M.Tech CSE student with a strong background in full-stack web development. I have hands on experience building interactive user interfaces and complete platforms using JavaScript, HTML, CSS , ReactJS, and Next.JS , including a custom boat rental platform and a hotel management application.
I am very interested in applying for the Form Designer project for GSoC. Since we are getting close to the deadline, could you let me know if it is still possible for me to join and contribute to this project, or if the team is already full?
I have been reviewing the preliminary tasks and the project’s focus on Web Components and FHIR integration. I have two quick technical questions regarding the initial setup:
-
For the drag and drop prototype and core layout engine, are we expected to build this using the native HTML5 Drag and Drop API, or is there a specific drag and drop library that LibreHealth prefer on?
-
Regarding the preliminary task to implement data binding with a sample FHIR resource, are you looking for a two-way data binding implementation (where editing the dropped form fields live-updates the underlying FHIR JSON structure), or just a one way render from the resource to the UI?
Once I get some clarification on these points, I am ready to dive right in and start working on my preliminary tasks.
Thank you in advance…
Or I have to focus on developing the premilinary task in Lit ??
Your proposal needs to be rewritten so none of it is written by AI. Also, your submitted proposal still links to the old PDF with screenshots of code, which also should not be generated by any LLM models. None. Zero.
@r0bby Could you clarify mee ??
Read the first post carefully.
We are looking for someone with good attention to detail.
Also, remember NO use of LLMs…for any reason. Period. Not in the preliminary task, your proposal for grammar or spelling, or anything else related to this program.
Thank you…completely understood..
Be honest: Did you use an LLM for your proposal? If not, did you base your proposal off someone else’s? A lot of those are generated using LLMs.
Redo it and tell me when you have.
I’ll just refine it…Kindly give me some time, Having academic exams here after tht refine and upload it..
Thank you sir..
I am giving you time to do so, but I told you not to use LLMs, and you did anyway.
I don’t care WHY you did it, I care that you did it after being told not to use LLMs. This kills trust.
You have a chance to get it back but this next one better be better.
Hi @parumenon1, are there any open issues in lh-toolkit-webcomponents that would be good to work on as preparation for the form designer project?
Nobody has been selected yet… You should be awaiting the selection announcement..
Yes so sorry @r0bby sir i just write by mistake , actually I just wanted to ask only, is there any open issues in lh-toolkit-webcomponents that would be good to work on as preparation for the form designer project? I would like to keep contributing while the proposal period is still open.
At this stage, unless you’ve been working on the rewrite, it’s not feasible with less than 24 hours left, and we cannot give you extra time. It will be an instant rejection if I detect even slight LLM-usage. Otherwise, time has now expired because the chance of you writing a quality proposal is really low given the time constraints. Try again next year.
