[NEW] Development and testing servers policies

Hey everyone!

So you need a short-term server and don’t necessarily need it to be entirely managed by the LibreHealth Infrastructure team, but don’t wanna worry about keeping it patched, fear not, we can help provision and set it up with:

  • nginx or apache, with Let’s Encrypt TLS/SSL certificates
  • Secure it
  • Set up a reverse proxy to whatever you need
  • Support is provided on an as-needed basis

After that, you may do whatever you want. The rules that everything must be done via Configuration Management doesn’t apply to development or testing servers.

Demo servers are however fully managed by us. Those do have the policies that everything must be done via Configuration Management. They are considered production servers.

This new policy was inspired by @judywawira’s need.

Are we going to use tickets from gitlab to request support ?

Ideally, that would be the best way. Soon as GCI ends…my time will be free to write these policies.
