Hi everyone,
I’m Abhinav Bajpai, a 2nd-year B.Tech student majoring in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CSAI). I’m excited to join the LibreHealth community and am specifically interested in contributing to the “Modern OHIF Integration for LibreHealth Radiology” project for GSoC 2026.
A bit about my technical background, I recently completed an SDE internship at a YC-backed startup, where I focused heavily on building and shipping production-ready web applications. That experience taught me how to adapt quickly to complex, fast-moving codebases. While I am relatively new to large-scale open-source contributions, I am highly comfortable with Java, TypeScript and modern web ecosystems.
To be completely honest, this project initially caught my eye simply because the tech stack perfectly matched my skill set. However, as I started researching OHIF and its role in LibreHealth Radiology, I found the actual problem space incredibly fascinating. Coming from an AI background, I usually focus on how systems process data. But researching this project highlighted a massive real world bottleneck, no matter how advanced diagnostic technology gets, it’s entirely useless if radiologists don’t have a fast, seamless, and modern viewer to actually interact with those images. Building that bridge is exactly the kind of high impact engineering I want to work on.
Right now, my immediate goal is getting my local environment fully set up. I am currently working on spinning up LibreHealth Radiology locally and diving into the codebase to understand its current architecture.
I’m looking forward to learning from this community and sharing my progress as I map out the integration points.
Thank you!
